So this was my Birthday weekend! I turned the dreaded 31! Goodness i don't feel that old!!! It's hard to imagine that every year now it will be one step closer to 40 than 20!Derek was a sweetheart and rented a cabin for the weekend. My parents came on Friday night and Aaron and Maggien stayed on Saturday night. We were celebrating her birthday too! It was alot of fun and very relaxing. Taquito got to swim in the lake, although he is quite a pansy about jumping off the dock. He would got back and forth between each side whining, looking for a good plce to jump, then run back down the dock and into the water. The cabin is a
ctually for sale, how fun would that be? But alas, it's a pipe dream for now. It's a cute little cabin, one bedroom, a loft, bathroom and kitchen. It's on a little over an acre of land about an hour and a half out of the cities. Hopefully the guy doesn't sell it and we can go up there over the 4th of July!!
How we're progressing with the baby:
Your pregnancy: 27 weeks
How your baby's growing:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.
