So it's been awhile since i've blogged, and we've had an interesting development in our family...it's about to get bigger! Derek and I are 10 weeks pregnant! We're due in August! We actually found out the Friday before christmas. It was really tough to decide if we wanted to tell anyone yet, but my brother was in town and Derek's dad was up from Florida to celebrate the holidays with us. So we decided to tell a few family and friends.
We told Derek's dad's side of the family on christmas eve. It was really odd, because Derek's Aunt came up to me and asked me if i was pregnant. She said she couldn't remember if we had said something over Thanksgiving, or if it was a dream she had. At first i told her no, till i could regroup myself and talk to Derek. He then gave a toast and we told everyone. I regret i didn't get anything on tape.
The next day, Christmas morning, we went to my parents house where i had printed out a certificate. I told my parents that this was something was were not too sure if this was something they would like, but it's going to be delivered anyways...here's what i got on tape!
Next we told Derek's mom and step-dad up in Walker. We visited them over New Years, and Derek seemed a bit antsy to tell them. So we told them while we were making dinner. Mind you all this time we were only about 6 weeks along, so very early! But no worries so far. I am 10 weeks today and this was my first non-nauseated day! So i will try to update my blog as much as i can!
