Walk 4 CB - cont.

So i made it! We got to parade stadium at 10am and registered. Then kinda bummed around for a bit until the opening cermony started. It was really cold! So we were really wanting the walk to start. We actually got our picture taken twice by volunteers, so maybe we'll be on the March of Dimes website!

We all thought the walk was going to be 8 miles for the long route, but it turns out to be 6 miles. Which is probably for the best, because i am in pain. I am so sore that behind my knees hurt. I have tried to get Derek to rub my feet, but he won't. I said i would wash them, but nope. He had softball practice today, so he says he's sore too. But i walked 6 miles, i think that trumps softball practice.

Our team is awesome! We raised as a team about $1,700.00. We're going to keep on doing this every year. It's a great way to honor our friend Carey. We all miss her.

March of Dimes - Walk4CB

Today is the big walk! Thank you to all who donated! I really appreciate it! Now it's off to walk 8 miles! It's cold out! More to come!

Seriously?! Come on it's April!!!

Last I looked we lived in Minnesota...not Alaska! Is it ever going to stop snowing and warm up so we can work on the yard? I wake up to Derek coming into the bedroom saying.."Hey Carrie, It snowed last night". Yay! So exciting! (this is sarcasm folks!) If it's snowing...does that mean we get to celebrate the holidays again? Our backyard looks like a mud pit and we can't lay down any seed until we're sure it's not going to freeze! This sucks!

So nothing too new since my last post. We refinanced the house and closed on it yesterday. My car is threatening to revolt and break down. Last night we went to Mike and Kelly Marr's house to celebrate Audrey's birthday. It was nice to see all of them. Today is finish cleaning the house before Derek wakes up from his nap (rough night at the Marr's Hahaha!) running to the bank to finish up some house stuff about the old mortgage, and then off to see Baby Mama.

Shenanigans!

Hmm...apparently the animals party while we are gone. Or at least like to keep things clean. This would be the second day in a row where i have found this in my tub...

I am not too sure what the dog is doing in the tub during the day, but i thank him for washing his paws off!

Spa and Wine Day

So i had my Sensaria party today. Tammy did a great job! I can see her going far with this. She was very clear and even paced with her presentation. I was very impressed! Good job Tammy!!

I love the Cherry Almond Body butter! It smells so good and it's not greasy at all! It's really hard to find a really good lotion, and i think i finally found it! So we'll try it out and see what happens!

I was very excited to get to see friends that i haven't hung out with in a long time. Candace and Carol both came over. It was fun getting to chit chat with the two of them.

The best time of the year is here! Haskell's Nickel Wine sale! We'll go and stock up on different wines. Which will normally last us almost all year. So our once bare wine rack is now full, minus one bottle, because we grabbed one that was a bit too pricey for our palate. We're not such wine connoisseurs that an expensive wine tastes any different than an $8.00 bottle would. So we try to stay on the lower end of price. But we're slowly getting to know more about wine and what we like.

Tomorrow is a day of shopping with my mom! I have lots of shopping to do! I have a baby shower in May, a wedding in June and there are a couple craft boutiques i would like to check out! So it's time to go shopping!

Whoa! What the?!

Holy Hannah!! I am so excited! So very very excited! I seriously cannot believe that The New Kids on the Block are getting back together! Someone needed money! Ha! But seriously!

I really hope this is not an extended April Fools joke!! They have a website with a count down timer on it http://www.nkotb.com/ 10 hours left! I am so crossing my fingers that they come to MN. I am buying tickets no matter what Derek says! See mom! I should never have thrown away my Donnie Wahlberg concert T-Shirt! Oooh! Can hardly contain my excitement!!!

So i stopped by Target after work to return a shirt that didn't fit right and pick up some grilling sauce for our pork chops. I got these awesome chips from Archer Farms! Wasabi and Mustard! Oh they are so good! I can't taste the mustard all that much, but the wasabi tickles your tongue in a good way! Yes dad! I am eating at the computer!! Haha!

Derek is in for a treat tonight! I got Alvin and the Chipmunks the movie!! I think it looks cute and funny, i'll probably get an eye roll from Derek though. I am hoping we can watch it tonight!

It's so awesomely nice outside, so we arre going for a walk...as soon as Derek gets home. Taquito is outside in the mud pit. So it's a good thing it's nice out because he's not coming inside for awhile! Our grass in the back yard is getting thinner and thinner each year. I think we should just make a concrete path for the dog. At least that way we don't have to wash his paws each time he goes outside.
