Baseball, Brats and ...SNOW?!

Seriously! Last year we were sitting on our deck, drinking a frosty beverage, grilling up some brats and listening to the Twins game. This year, it's brats in the frying pan, watching the frost build up on the windows and watching the Twins on the TV!

It is snowing like CRAZY outside! We are supposed to get like 6 inches of snow tonight. Hopefully it warms up real quick, and gets really hot fast because our backyard has turned into a huge, HUGE mud pit!! I have given up on the daily sweep up becuase Taquito brings in so much mud! Now that it's really snowing out...can you imagine the mud pit? We'd be better off having Derek bring a pig home for the back yard!

Banish the Flu Bug

So the flu or some gross illness is going around work and home. One person was out on Monday, My "roomie" or "office mate" isn't feeling well, her boyfriend is sick and Derek has a above 100 temp. 101.5 to be exact. So i am trying everything i can to not get sick. I am not going to be happy if i get sick...so Mr. (or Mrs.) Flu Bug i beg of you...S.T.A.Y A.W.A.Y!!!

Final Day of the WCHA

Our last day was fun. We took a cab home Friday night, so Saturday we had two cars down in St. Paul. The Sioux beat Colorado College for Third place. It would have been nice to see the Sioux beat the Gophers...but at least Denver beat them. We didn't stay downtown Saturday night. We went to LaFonda's in Eagan. I sang Karaoke, we had a blast! Can't wait for next year!!Here are pics of our last day!

More Pics from Day 2

Here are a few more pics from Day 2. Me and Derek on the left. Aaron and Maggien on the right.

Then we have part of the crew after the Sioux lost :(

Me, Wendy, Brent and Kevin.

Jen and Erin on the right.

And Derek and Nate!

More to come as day three starts!!

Day two of the WCHA

So i am not too sure how this will turn out, since i have had a few drinks, but here goes!
Unfortunately the Sioux lost to Denver, so that put a damper on our evening. We were hoping the Gophers would lose to Colorado College so we could play them in a rematch....but that didn't happen...so now we play colorado college in the afternoon tomorrow and the gophers play Denver. If the gopther win, we are SERIOUSLY not going to be happy.
I find it funny how men think that even though you are not wearing the same jersey as them, they can direspect you. I almost got into a fight because some guy was a jerk to me outside McGoverns. Trust me, the state i was in, i would have tried my hardest to take him down.

I had water spilt on me...it looks like it could have been more, but it was only water...I did not enjoy wet pants for the remainder of the evening.

Let's see....what else...ok, not much right now. More tomorrow!!! Maybe!

Beginning of the WCHA Tournament

What can i say...it was fun!!!

So the gophers won over the St. cloud Huskies...oops...i guess we'll get that rematch after all. We had fun! Erin(my sister in-law) and i hung out at McGovern's before the game with Jen. Erin and i don't have a really cute picture, so here'a a great one!

I'm not a huge fan of our new seats. I really liked our old seats, but here is the view from our new ones...

It's not bad but i still liked the people around our old ones.

Here are a few candid down the asle pics..

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Derek and I are not doing too much tonight. Leslie and Craig(My in-laws) were going to comedown from walker and "hang out" with us tonight and treat us to some corned beef and cabbage, but they encountered bad weather a half hour into their trip down. So they are still in Walker. We'll have to do it another time. So for now we're eating left over pot roast! Yummy!!

Well, the Sioux are in the final five this weekend! We are going to have so much fun i can't wait to don my green garb!! I have already told my mom not to expect us for Easter. We're going to need Sunday to recover!! It'll be Derek, myself, my sister in-law Erin, my cousin Aaron, his girlfriend Maggien, Brent, Jen, Justin, Nate, Jess and some of Nates buddies. I think Kevin and Wendy maybe joining us also, and possibly Mike and Michon. You never know who you may find in St.Paul! So the festivities start on Thursday night. I'll take pictures and post some!

How fun! The Big Bang Theory was on tonight...new episode! Oh we love the fact the writers strike is over. We still highly recommend the show!

Babies, Babies Babies!!!

For those who don't know, we babysat my girlfriends two little ones this past weekend. It was an experience! Lots of Disney movies! Ryenne is 2 1/2 and Evan is 1 and they were both well behaved. Ryenne was my adorable flower girl! Evan was along for the ride as mom was my bridemaid and 5mos pregnant with him!

We survived dinner, baths, and bedtime! It was fun. Taquito really liked Ryenne. I wish i had taken pictures because she kept walking up to him and slinging her arm over his middle and walking with him like he was her buddy. Derek thought it was funny that she would fart and he'd ask her "Did you just fart?" and her response was a very exuberant "Yup!". Derek would bust out laughing. I think i am ready for the challenge of kids! Derek...unless the kid makes some kind of bodily noise all the time...I think it'll be a bit longer.

Congrats to my old high school friend Jodi and her Husband who welcomed their little girl into the world on Sunday, Welcome Gracie Jo Youngman!

And congrats to our friends Kevin and Wendy who just found out today they are having a little boy!

More babies! Congrats Tonya(Trombley) and Toby Nelson on their pending little one!

Congrats to my old co-worker Dave and his wife Tracie who just had a baby girl on Saturday! Welcome Ava Claire!

Go Sioux Go!

So today was a very fun day! We got up at 8:30ish...Way early for me...and were at the home and garden show by 10. We got a lot of ideas...ok..i got a lot of ideas for what we can do for the basement and window treatments. I even think i am going to push for the back door to be moved over to the left and become a sliding glass door!! I am excited! But i told Derek we have to get rid of the mold in the attic before anything. We can rip apart the basement, but while we do that, we have to rip out the insulation in the attic and replace it.

So then we went and watched the Sioux play at Joe Sensers in Plymouth. They kicked butt in OT 2-1 against University of Minnesota - Duluth. I can't wait for the WCHA. It's such a fun weekend!

Oh, and it's been raining here....do you think it's slippery?
